The 1-hour and 1.5-hour rides begin in the beautiful desert near the Ranch, allowing you to take in the vastness of the endless sand, gently rocked by the animal’s smooth movement in the silence of the desert—an incredibly calming experience.
Next, guests reach Dakhla’s typical flat-topped hills and the majestic cliffs offering breathtaking views of the roaring ocean. The diversity of landscapes crossed is what makes these rides so rich, and experiencing them on the back of a dromedary—the region’s emblematic animal—makes the adventure truly unforgettable.
A longer duration allows you to enjoy the desert and cliffs for an extended time.
Tea tasting is included in the dromedary rides, set up as a temporary bivouac often located on the cliffs and offering exceptional views of the Ocean. Guests take a break midway through the ride to enjoy this relaxing moment.
minimum age / Age restrictions: If the child wants to be alone on the dromedary, the minimum age is 8 for safety reasons, in particular so that he or she is able to hold on when the animal stands up or lies down.
If the child is accompanied by a parent or adult, the minimum age is 3.
We can make exceptions for younger children in both cases, if the parents insist, but especially if the children meet the safety requirements. because each child is different from a morphological point of view (height and weight) as well as maturity to understand the activity he's doing and not to be afraid. These ages are given for information only, to help with bookings.
Dress code (casual or formal) : There are no specific instructions about dress for camel riding; it must be comfortable and allow you to ride in a saddle. We also lend djellabas and chèches to wear for an immersive experience in Saharan culture.
In the event of cancellation less than 4 hours before the start of the activity, 50% of the price of the activity will be charged.
